I have received a number of questions regarding the availability of the GAPS Guide book. There is good news, more good news, and even more good news! The first good news is that some folks out there managed to get (six weeks ago or so) the very last copies of GAPS Guide Edition 1. The second good news is that people have been sharing their copies with others, some purchased as many as four years ago, making them available to support list members for a portion of the original cost! The third good news is as follows:
As soon as all essential set-up processes have been completed -and I’m actively working on this!- the 2nd Edition of GAPS Guide will be available. The date of actual availability/release will be posted here (you can subscribe to this blog for free, and receive all posts to your inbox as they are published).
Details on GAPS Guide 2nd Edition to come! In brief, though, after 18 months of hard work, you can expect:
- more content
- clearer steps
- professional, third party editing
- professional, third party formatting
- an index
- and much more
Already have a copy of GAPS Guide 1st Edition? You might consider approaching each edition as a separate “consultation” (of many hours each).
In the meantime, if you have a copy of GAPS Guide 1st Edition to make available at reduced cost to someone in need of that, please post your offer to your local or online support group.

I JUST ordered the GAPS book and we’re starting for the very first time. I desperately would like to have the GAPS Guide book as soon as possible. Can I pre-order it to ensure it’s shipped to me as early as possible? I don’t want to make any mistakes. (My husband is a dire celiacs and his health is fading fast. We have 4 small children so life is busy and we desperately need his health to start to improve or I will soon be caring for 4 kids and a bed-ridden husband with no income at all.)

Please post an update on the GAPS Guide. I really want to start (like Monday) but feel so inadequate and unprepared. I don’t want my husband to have a bad experience and turn away from the diet. When will version 2 be out?
I also would like to know when the 2nd addition Gaps Guide will be released.

I would like to buy an old copy and pre-order the 2nd addition. I’m 6 weeks into GAPs and want to learn as much as possible so I can make this lifestyle as easy and inexpensive as possible.
I have an old one I’d sell for half price. It has a little water damage from a wet counter on a few pages but still no issue. Jason frijoles@sympatico.ca

I hope you give us an update soon, as it’s the end of April right now. Also, none of the GAPS books are available in a Kindle edition, and I would love to see it electronically. This would prevent the unavailability problem in the future!

Baden, I can’t find any more recent information about the new edition and we have a lot of people asking for it. I hate to bug you, but do you have any news on a date yet? I would love to be able to tell the group when to expect it…. We are all so excited for the new edition!
