When I was heavily involved in GAPS’ online forums, I ‘met’ a lot of people who became very dear to my heart. One of the people whose warm and generous heart has always inspired me is Starlene, whose blog I happily stumbled across last week. What a treat! Besides being delighted to reconnect with Starlene, however indirectly, I was wowed by her blog. So incredibly relevant to GAPS, it details her personal journey: food and supplement experiments, book reviews, tips, recipes. The posts are well-written, focused and very informative. I highly recommend it. Check it out here.
For more awesome GAPS blogs, see the relevant section on this blog’s support page. (Do you have one I don’t have listed? Let me know via the comments section below! If it’s GAPS-focused and otherwise neutral, I’ll gladly list it!)

Hi Baden,
I also have a blog with GAPS recipes. I just started it a couple weeks ago, but I’m trying to add 2 recipes per week. http://nourishedandnurtured.blogspot.com/
Thanks for providing a good place to find GAPS info.
Sarah
Your blog is definitely interesting! I began GAPS in December and it’s been so healthy for my body! The blog I write, realfoodbybeck.blogspot.com, reflects some GAPS too.
Thank you!
Beck.
Baden, I am so honored. Thank you for mentioning my blog. Thank YOU so very much for writing GAPS Guide because of the help it provides and I love your updates here at your blog as well. Thanks again.
Hi,Baden
I’m very thankful for this site.I am learning so much
I am on almost my 3rd week on the diet. My doctor started me
On the third stage of the diet . Body was in shock I haven’t been regular In days. I found the gaps site and have started on stage one. With beef or chicken broth. I feel like my body is stuck. I don’t know what to eat besides broth my body is getting used to the pro biotics I’m afraid to add fermented foods in the past I didn’t do well on them and I don’t know much about them. Today I feel over welemed . But have not given In to any tempting foods. I haven’t bought the book yet I have been reading what’s on line. If you have any advice for me I could really use it. Thanks
Hi Lori,
Well, all my advice is in the GAPS Guide book
It’s several hundred hours of my advice presented in just under 200 pages. I do encourage you to get it: It was specifically made to make the journey as light as possible, and to reduce overwhelm, confusion and the need for endless research. On this site I can help you with things beyond what the book presents, or reminders of where to find info in the book.
This said, I’m very concerned about you eating only broth. In Stage 1 you need not eat only broth. You must eat boiled meat (any kind, including fish and chicken), the meat broth, the fats, and boiled veggies. Please do add these in, as your body requires them to heal.
If you’re body is still adjusting to the commercial probiotics you started, you can hold off on the home ferments for awhile. If it’s any comfort, I was terrified of my first batch of homemade sauerkraut: I refused to even taste it -for a full month! For some reason, several of us went through this. You’ll get there
Awesome job on completing two weeks and on not returning to any non-intro foods!!
All my best,
Baden
I am almost two years into GAPS and have a recipe blog for GAPS: http://www.friendslovefood.blogspot.com Thanks. Majica
Thank you so much for letting us know, Majica! Your recipes look AMAZING!
I’m adding your url to the support page…
All my best,
Baden
I need some help. I have a 7yr old daughter. She was put on 7 caps of mirilax and 7 doses of exlax daily for her cronic constipation (holding her bowels) after 6 months of this, I could not take it. I could not stand her being on all that medication. She is also very hyperactive and impulsive (ADHD) I found out about gaps. I now have the book and the cookbook. I am still trying to get through all the info. I have eliminated all carbs and she eats organic meats fruits and vegs. But I have been giving her benefiber and am afraid to stop because of her problem. Is benefiber ok on this diet?
I’ve been blogging about our family’s experience on GAPS for the past couple years. We have loads of resources, practical tips, recipes, and a breakdown of all the GAPS stages. I even have a weekly blog carnival called GAPS Friendly Fridays where other GAPS bloggers can share their articles, recipes, and resources. I hope you’ll come by! http://theliberatedkitchenpdx.com/
