If you have children and celebrate Easter, what is your SCD or GAPS plan?
Most SCD and GAPS parents find their children are most tickled by the activities of trick or treating, hunting for eggs, etc, such that the foods themselves do not ‘make or break’the celebration. The parents then “buy” the candies from the kids and allow them to spend the money on a toy, or the parents simply swap out the candies for a non-food gift. Some families have a “candy fairy” for whom they leave the candies on the front step; in the morning there is a special toy in the candies’place!
For Vancouver-area folks who have successfully incorporated cocoa, the local chapter of the Weston A Price Foundation is offering a class in making Easter treats. Perhaps other chapters are doing this as well?

Our girls loved the garden-themed Easter baskets last year, but the real gift was for us as a family because they both fell in love with gardening. We situated their gardens close to the back door where they picked flowers or vegetables most days last summer.
We’ll definitely repeat the garden theme this year and add a few new surprises.
