There is a 6 part video of NCM and Donna Gates on Youtube.
My daughter is almost 4 and has Aspergers. I want to do the best for her. What are the differences between GAPS and Body Ecology (Donna Gates), and which is better for my daughter?
The BED excludes fruits and honey for the first several months, then carefully adds in limited amounts of low-sugar fruits. It includes some pseudo-grains (such as quinoa). SCD/GAPS allows honey and fruits (if tolerated), and excludes even pseudo-grains.
I believe these are the major differences.
Many of us are great fans of Gates and the BED. One person on our list found that she had to remove both the BED’s pseudo-grains *and* GAPS’fruit and honey before her son saw improvement. Personally, I recommend starting with GAPS’intro progression (because it is free of all of the above), and moving forward from there. That way, you can see exactly what is reacted to.
