Ooh – a quiz! Hydration is pretty critical to everything running smoothly. What do your particular weight, circumstances, climate and activity level indicate you should be drinking? How much does a healthy diet like GAPS knock off this need? What within GAPS counts toward this total? For the quiz and all answers, click here.
Tip: Every evening, fill a jug (or two, if necessary) with your daily quota and and place on your counter. Fill your work water bottles, etc, from the jug(s). The in-your-face visual will help you stay on track. Also, try to get it all in by a few hours before bedtime so that you don’t wake in the night having to pee!

Have you heard of anyone on GAPS drinking whey? I’ve been making my own yoghurt for a couple months or so and I end up with a lot of whey to make use of. I’ve tried some recipes for making fizzie drinks with it and have with some success made and enjoyed those. I’m not on GAPS, not yet, but have been reading about it and also about SCD diet. I’ve done similar diets, but neither of these two. Nowhere in the SCD material or the GAPS material so far have I found any information on the usefulness of drinking whey.
